WHY JWL PROFILING
​
The inertial profiler is a device that uses laser sensors which are mounted on a "Host Vehicle" to measure the profile of the pavement surface. The Inertial Profiler device is linked to a software within the host vehicle which creates a visual graph representing the output of the pavement profile. This pavement profile data is exported /saved and submitted to the project manager/engineer whom then uses to evaluate and develop any necessary road improvement plans based on the data from the profile submitted

WHY USE AN INERTIAL PROFILER FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION?
Profilers are used to check for the level of roughness . When a contractor performs smoothness measurements on a pavement, issues with the construction methods can be addressed and rectified immediately before resuming or completion of the contract .
