What is an Inertial Profiler ? . High Speed , Zero Speed ?
Inertial Road Profilers , previously known as Profilographs , measure the longitudinal profile of a road of Asphalt/Concrete or even dirt/gravel , in order to determine the smoothness of that road . The Inertial Profiling systems generate 2D surface profiles that are compliant under industry standards such as AASHTO r56-57 , M328 , R054 , and ASTM E950 . Inertial Profiling systems record simultaniously both wheelpaths elevations that affect the ride quality of the traveling public .
At JWL Inertial Profiling , we rely on the CS9300DT-S High Speed Inertial Profiling system with the CS9100-ZS Zero Speed IP option provided by our parteners at SSI ( Surface Systems and Instruments ) , using wide beam 6.5" lasers capable of collecting data through stoppages 0-100mph .
